Packing with Bubble Wrap®
When you are packing fragile belongings, Bubble Wrap® can add an additional level of cushion to protect items from vibration and impact that could cause breakage. The unique structure of Bubble Wrap® includes air pockets, which act as a barrier between the outside of the box and the delicate items inside. Because air is a main ingredient in the cushioned packing material, Bubble Wrap® is virtually weightless. Packing boxes with Bubble Wrap® is an easy way to safeguard item from damaged caused during shipping, moving or storage.

• Cut a square of Bubble Wrap® that will fit snugly in the bottom of a box. Use scissors to cut on a line in between two rows of bubbles to keep as many air pockets intact as possible.
• Place the sheet of Bubble Wrap® in the bottom of a box. Press gently to secure its corners in the box's corners.
• Wrap fragile items in Bubble Wrap®. Place a sheet of Bubble Wrap® on a flat work area, such as the floor or a tabletop. Place the item in the center of the sheet and fold the corners over the top of the item. Secure the Bubble Wrap® with a piece or two of clear packing tape.
• Place wrapped items in the prepared box. Although items are wrapped, the more delicate ones should be placed on top. In general, pack plates first, bowls next and glasses or cups last. Fill boxes so weight is evenly distributed. Make sure that it is not too heavy to lift safely.
• Fill gaps in boxes with packing paper. Crumple sheets of packing paper and stuff them into gaps between wrapped items. This will add soft pressure so that items do not move inside the box when it is lifted. Be sure to take packing paper and fill in all gaps until you don't hear shifting when boxes are rocked gently.
• Place a sheet of Bubble Wrap® on top of the items, cut pack flaps and close the box flaps. Use packing tape to seal the box shut. Write the item description or room name on the outside. Also, mark the box "Fragile," so movers are aware that the contents could be damaged easily.
